Patient and Family Centered Care Philosophy

Every patient at Bronson is part of a unique family unit with its own strengths and capabilities. We respect the importance of the family and encourage family involvement and support in patient care. We believe in partnering with each family to give the highest quality of care to each patient.

To support our mission to provide excellent healthcare services, we:

  • Recognize that the family unit is a constant in a patient's life
  • Believe the patient's family should be an important part of the healthcare team
  • View families as partners who contribute to the well-being of patients
  • Support quality of care and patient satisfaction by partnering with patients and families for all levels of care
  • Respect the diversity of families
  • Support patients' right to define their family as they choose
  • Share complete and unbiased information with patients and families, with the patients' consent
  • Empower all physicians and employees to provide patient- and family centered care
  • Include patient and family centered concepts and strategies in employee orientation and training
