Robert Doud is responsible for Bronson's community health initiatives, community outreach, neighborhood/city relations and the annual compilation of Bronson's community benefit inventory. In addition, he oversees the philanthropic efforts of the Bronson Health Foundation.

Doud has been at Bronson for 20 years and currently represents Bronson as chair of the Downtown Kalamazoo Incorporated. He also serves on the boards of the Michigan State University – Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, the Family Health Center, Edison Neighborhood Association, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Area Foundation, Kalamazoo County Health Plan, Heritage Community and the Local Initiative Support Corporation.

Prior to joining Bronson, Doud was dean of health and science at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Western Michigan University
